It is not uncommon for the winters here in Shenyang to be extremely cold where the temperature can drop to as low as -22 degrees centigrade, the maximum the Writer of this article has ever experienced. This year the winter being just as cold as in years past is no exception.
In the images and the videos in this article/post, you can see people ice skating on an artificial lake (in the ChangBai, Heping area of Shenyang) that has frozen over and it is literally rock hard! The ice is so hard that the locals are taking advantage of it and taking the opportunity to ice skate on it! This particular lake is just one of the many lakes in this city where people are showing off their ice skating skills and abilities.
